Phew! I’m not gonna lie, the past month has been k-razy! Somewhere along the road we thought it would be a good idea to move house ;-)
Thinking ahead, I made sure I didn’t pack my camera, but I DID pack my imac and didn’t have a work station for a short while as well as I cannot stand to work in chaos! Tidy house = tidy mind. I’m continuing to desperately catch up with life after being somewhat off the grid for a while.
As much as I would like to have the nursery perfectly set up and decorated to shoot in, this is not going to happen any time soon so a little improvisation is needed. Packing boxes are our life right now and an experience in Mattheus’ first year to remember.
He enjoyed exploring through the boxes in the garage and I was reminded of how amazing the light can be when the garage door is open. You instantly have this incredible open shade that produces a well lit subject and sparkling eyes. Read more here for getting beautifully tack sharp eyes using open shade. A five minute photo session can go a long way if you’re inspired by the light around you.
Hopefully we’ll be back up and running with a few extra tips within the next couple of weeks! If you haven’t already, come over and join me on Instagram for more regular posts!
